The following is a step by step procedure to adjust the timing on a belt driven equipped automatic ATV or scooter like engine.
Initial start may be rough until enough gas reaches through to the carburetor. Make sure to install carburetor firmly and make any proper adjustments to it as needed. If timing still gives trouble, place piston TOP DEAD CENTER and line up the two "O" dots on the sprocket (chain wheel) with the cylinder head as shown above. This is basically the timing.
